SERVICES
General Maintenance
Regular maintenance is the key to preventing ecological disasters such as overbearing algal bloom, pond weeds, and excess amounts of Nitrates, Phosphates, Ammonia, and other irritations.
Chemical Application
When necessary, certain aquatic pesticides can be applied to help maintain healthy algae levels without disrupting the habitat for fish, beneficial plant life, and waterfowl.
Pump System Installation, Maintenance, and Repair
Pumps are used in many different ways for man-made water features. Whether you need to circulate, aerate, filter, or just pump your water, we can do the job.
Fish Stocking
Regularly stocking fish is a natural way to prevent excessive growth of algae, pond weeds, and pests such as midge flies and mosquitoes. Catch-and-Release Fishing can also be a fun pastime for residents of a community.
Aeration – Installation and Maintenance
Aeration enhances fish habitats, improves water quality, reduces algae, and even removes removing phosphorus. Aeration also breaks down unwanted bacteria, helps with mosquito problems, and remove foul odors from large water features. This is accomplished through circulation and by adding dissolved Oxygen.
ABOUT US
Lake Maintenance Service was founded in 1982 by Ralph and RhoAnne Moody in response to the growing demand for a company that specialized in the care and environmental maintenance of the large, artificial bodies of water being built in the Phoenix metro area. Ralph was a Marine Biologist with a degree in Biochemistry from the University of Utah. He used this expertise to maintain hundreds of valley projects for over 30 years until his retirement in 2013 due to health concerns. Family stepped in to keep the business running smoothly.
His son, Bryan Moody, worked as President and General Manager for several years. He has been involved with LMS since he could handle a pole and net and is now the Qualifying Party for our business license with the Department of Agriculture. He expanded into dredging in recent years as a natural extension of our business.
Ralph and RhoAnne's daughter, MaryAnne Karstadt, is the owner of the company and works closely with clients to make sure that every need is met and satisfaction with our service is complete. She holds licenses in aquatics and industrial/institutional pest management. We pride ourselves in our office staff and the value they add to the company.
Our technicians are invaluable assets in the field. They make sure everyday that all of our client’s properties look their best. If your project needs special care, maintenance, or repair, we get the job done!
