Chemical Application

When necessary, certain aquatic pesticides can be applied to help maintain healthy algae levels without disrupting the habitat for fish, beneficial plant life, and waterfowl.

All of the chemicals that we use are registered with USEPA as well as with the State of Arizona.  Applications are made by state-certified applicators in a professional manner consistent with product labeling.

• SonarPowerful, long-lasting herbicide safe for fish
• Copper Sulfate Powder
  Mixed with water, this powder burns off algae then precipitates to the bottom where it becomes inactive.
• Earthtech
  Copper-based algaecide, very safe for fish and the environment.
• Chlorine
  A common, calcium-based chemical often used in pools or fountains with a filtration system.  Chlorine is not safe for use with fish or plants.  Chlorine can be found in granular, liquid, or tablet form.
